Student Wellness and Prevention Newsletter March 2018
March 2018
Dear LES Families,
Since August, our LES Anti-bullying/Wellness/Prevention Team worked to promote student wellness and achieve the goal of every student in Douglas County knowing when they need help and where to get help. This month students will become more aware of their role in the prevention of school violence.
Based on students’ developmental levels, we will explore this topic with our students.
Elementary, Middle, and High school students will review “Red Alerts” and understand that they need to report immediately if they see or hear something that may cause violence to their school or injury to others.
We encourage you to support our efforts by discussing this month’s topic of how to recognize and immediately report Red Alerts. Check us out next month when we explore: Awareness: Substance Abuse and Addictive Behavior.
Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance, and schools name will do all we can to support every student’s well-being. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our LES Anti-bullying/Wellness/Prevention Team. Please consider the resources offered on the PREVENTION and SCHOOL CULTURE (https://www.dcsdk12.org/prevention-and-school-culture) website if you want more information about this topic.
In Partnership,
Larkspur Elementary Anti-bullying/Wellness/Prevention Team
