Week of 1/29-2/2

Good evening!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Just a few things,

1. Reading Logs: January reading logs are due Friday!

2. Accountability: I have had many conversations with the class about taking pride in their work, staying organized, and turning in work that is neat and complete. Students know that if they are tuning in work that is not legible, does not have complete sentences with capitals and end marks, and is not complete, it goes in the Redo Folder. They are then responsible for correcting it during their time (Recess or Fun Friday). I am not doing this to be mean, I am just trying to get them as prepared for third grade as possible! With that being said, please remind your child that I have the same expectations on homework as I do on classwork. Thank so much for the support!!!!!

3. Upcoming Field Trip in February: We are working on planning our next field trip to Skate City! This will be a great opportunity for the kids to apply what we are learning about in science to a fun outing! They also do a STEM activity with the kids! We are tentatively planning on going on Valentines Day. I will be asking for chaperones soon, so if you want to come with us, please mark your calendar! More info will be coming home soon as soon as we hear back from Skate City with a confirmed date.
