Happy Halloween! (This week's happenings)

Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather! I loved seeing some of you at the Fall Festival! THANK YOU so much to all the parents that helped to make the Fall Festival so successful this year! Everyone looked so great in their costumes!

Few things about this week:

1. Halloween: Halloween is this Tuesday! Please remember students are NOT allowed to wear costumes to school. Instead they will be given the gift of NO HOMEWORK Halloween night :-)

2. Field Trip: Our field trip to The Cave of the Winds is this Wednesday, November 1st! Please make sure you send your child with a disposable lunch if you did not turn in an order for a school made lunch. Students will be able to bring a water bottle to leave with their lunch. Please make sure your child's lunch bag and water bottle has their name on it. Also, please pack two snacks for your child for the bus ride. Snacks also need to be in a disposable bag with names. Nothing too messy for snack please! We will be leaving no later than 9:30, so chaperones, please arrive at school with your child. We will be back to LES around 2:15. I am so excited for this trip! The students will be learning about caves, bats, rocks, and other interesting facts about the cave's history. It truly is a remarkable place.

3. October Reading Logs Due: Please have your child finish filling out their October Reading Logs. I would love for them to be turned in no later than Friday this week. November Logs will be coming home on Wednesday.

4. Book Bags: Book bags have been sent home again if your child returned their first bag. Again, these are great books for your child to practice independently and repeatedly for fluency practice. When your child is finished with the books, please ensure they are returned in the book bag.
