Good afternoon!

I hope everyone had a restful, fun, and wonderful Fall Break!

Just a few reminders and upcoming events:

1. Permission Slips: Our first field trip is quickly approaching! We will be going to the Cave of the Winds on November 1st. If you have not done so, please send in your permission slips by tomorrow so I can turn in the lunch orders. Mr. Way and Mrs. Palm will be joining us a chaperones! Thank you for volunteering! Please keep in mind, if you were unable to join us on this trip, we will be taking several more this year :-)

2. Fall Conferences: It is already that time of year to start thinking about Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences! These will be held the week of November 6th. Please take a moment to sign up for a time for us to meet! I encourage students to come so they can be a part of the conversation and hear all the amazing things about them! We have no school for students on Tuesday November 7th, so that day is very open! If you are not able to make one of the available times work, please contact me via email. 3. Spelling/Sight Words: There will be a new spelling list this week. Test on Friday! We are diving into Superkids Unit 3. Whoo hoo! Kids will also be tested on their Sight Word book this Thursday, so make sure you are encouraging them to study!

4. Reading Logs and Book Bags: I hope your child is enjoying their book bag that was sent home before break. Please make sure these books stay in your child's book bag so they do not get lost. These books are great for independent practice! Once your child has read through them a few times, they can send them back in for new books. I will coordinate a time for my Book Bag helpers to come in over the next few weeks to switch out books. Please make sure your child is also filling out their reading logs!
