Good evening!

I hope everyone stayed warm over the chilly weekend!

Few things coming up this week:

Eureka Math: We are moving into Module 2 this week. Please refer to the Parent Tip packet I sent home as well as the Eureka Parent Portal. You can use the link below to access the parent portal:

After looking over the Module 1 tests from last week, I am happy to say that most the kiddos did well! There will be a few things we will spend time reviewing tomorrow and we will be spending time looking over the tests.The kids will then make test corrections and be able to go over questions they missed with me. Homework will also be a review from Module 1. I want to make sure that everyone is confident before we proceed to Module 2. I really encourage the kids to ask questions during class to clarify things they don't understand. This program does a great job teaching the kids new ways of thinking about math. Don't be frustrated if they come home and do things on their homework you are not familiar with :-). We will continue moving forward in this program and I will make sure to spend extra time on concepts that are causing confusion. We got this!!!

Sight Words: Sight word books will begin Thursday this week! Mrs. Todd will be testing the kids on their sight words bi-weekly. Kids will be bringing sight word books home in their BOBCAT Binders. This will be something that your child should practice on regular basis at home. These words should be read with automaticity (no hesitation). Knowing these words will greatly improve your child's reading fluency!

School Store: We will be having our first school store this week! The kids will get to spend the Bobcat Bucks they have earned. This store will be open to the kids the last Friday of each month. If you have any items to donate to the store, please send them in! Thank you to Mrs. Altman and Mrs. Nelson for being in charge of our store this year!
