Volunteers and Updates for this Week

Happy holiday weekend!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day off :-)

If you are volunteering during the week, I would love to have you start this week if possible. If not, no worries! Just let me know when you would like to come in. I will be sending out emails this afternoon to parents who have signed up to volunteer this year with more details on some logistics. I added a Thursday Folder position to the list, so if anyone is interested in coming in Thursday afternoons to file and fill Thursday folders, that would be great! I would also love to add another volunteer Thursday afternoons for our science block from 3:00-4:00. I will add this to the sign up as well.

We have wrapped up our Superkids Warm Up unit and will be diving head first into Unit 1 tomorrow. Superkids homework will now be predominately coming out of your child's backpack page book. Please make sure your child is keeping their Backpack page book safe inside their backpacks!

Even though it is a short week, please expect a spelling list to come home tomorrow. The words are still a review from first grade, so I hope it will not be to stressful with only having a four day week. The test will be Friday. Expect your child's last test to be coming home in Thursday Folders this week.

New September reading logs will also be coming home tomorrow!
