Welcome back!

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break! Just a few reminders, we have our Stone Canyon field trip this coming Thursday (the 30th)! Please make sure you pay online through the parent portal if you have not done so already. Also, if you have not sent in your child's permission slip, make sure you send that in ASAP! Another reminder will be sent out later this week. We will be going on a long hike and I have been watching the weather forecast...this week looks a bit soggy. With that in mind, I will be sure to remind you to send your child with a jacket, appropriate shoes and clothing, and a disposable lunch. If you have volunteered to chaperone, please arrive with your kiddo in the morning. Lastly, please make sure you are continuing to support your child with literacy at home. I have increased the nightly reading time to 30 minutes so your child will be best prepared for the reading homework in 3rd grade! I would also appreciate you checking over your child's homework for spelling and complete sentences. We have been working hard on this all year, and at this point, students should consistently be remembering capitals, end punctuation, legible handwriting, correct spelling of second grade site words, and complete sentences that make sense. I can't believe we are on the 2nd grade home stretch! Here's to an exciting and fun last quarter!!!! As always, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
