Welcome Back! Week 3/26-3/30

Welcome back!!!

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break!

Few things coming up this week:

1. March Reading logs will be due next Monday! April logs will come home in binders next week. Please make sure your child continues to read on a daily basis!

2. The kids will begin planning their egg drop experiment this week. Expect them to come home hunting for materials to use and bring in! Feel free to start sending in materials your child needs this week. I would appreciate them in bags with names on them, so when we head to the science lab we can keep track of what materials belong to which kiddo. Assembly of the egg drop contraptions will begin next week.

3. Our next field trip to the Zoology Foundation to kick off our plant and animal unit will be on Thursday, April 12th. Expect permission slips to come home this week! More info will be coming home once we get closer to our trip. This trip will only be a half day field trip, so I will be requesting that ALL students pack a disposable lunch. We will not be ordering lunches from he cafeteria. In addition, due to Zoology's group restrictions, we will not be able to bring chaperones this trip. They have a volunteer team that will be assisting us. We are doing the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo trip in May. Chaperones will be needed for that trip!

4. Our specials schedule has been a little messy due to several of our specialist teachers being out. I will try to give you a heads up on library and PE days once I know the schedule. Usually I don't find out until I get to school on Monday.
